Service 01
Picture Framing
Our large selection of frames and mounts means we can find the right frame for your piece. We take the time to design something that reflects your style, and if you are not sure what you want, our friendly design team will help you create a distinctive piece.
Ask us about preservation framing for the pieces you want to keep. It protects your work with UV-filtering glazing, acid-free or rag mat boards and archival framing techniques, as defined by the framing industry bodies.
In a hurry? We stock a large range of ready-made frames made in house, and we sell the same materials we use if you prefer to frame it yourself.
A picture is just a picture until it's framed, and then it becomes a work of art.
Service 02
Canvas Stretching
Brought home a rolled-up canvas from overseas? We custom-stretch canvas artwork ready to hang, onto quality custom stretchers, and we build stretcher frames for non-standard and large-format works. We specialise in original Aboriginal and Bali artwork.
What sets our canvas work apart:
- Only stainless-steel staples, so nothing rusts and damages the artwork over time.
- Kiln-dried pine strainer bars with a lip, not square-edged industrial timber, so the work sits correctly. Quality Meranti stretchers available if preferred.
- Plastic-coated stainless-steel hanging wire that is strong and does not stretch or rot.
- D-rings on all our work and a recommended two-point hanging system, with complimentary wall hooks supplied.
- Backing finished with tape, bumpers on the back corners, and support braces where needed to keep the work taut and square.
DIY option: We also supply stretcher bars, custom-built frames, stretching pliers and staple guns if you would rather stretch the canvas yourself. Contact us for more information.
Service 03
Memorabilia & Object Framing
We can frame almost everything except the kitchen sink, whether it is your grandfather's war medals, your son's first drawing or your family portraits. Our experienced design team will help you choose from our range of materials.
We frame:
- Sporting: autographs, shirts, boxing gloves, caps and any clothing, cricket bats and balls, football cards, posters, team photos.
- Music: CDs, albums, instruments, sheet music, autographs, concert stubs.
- Movie: photographs, posters, film cells, autographed items.
- Personal: needlework and embroidery, children's artwork, wedding memorabilia, certificates, awards and heirlooms.
- Legal & historical: title deeds, certificates, licences, currency and stamps, medals, newspaper articles, letters and family-tree displays.
Service 04
Block Mounting & Laminating
An alternative to traditional framing, block mounting is ideal for movie posters, maps and corporate displays. We mount to traditional 9mm MDF or to lightweight but rigid foam board, and we can add lamination for protection or effect. Posters, prints, education and marketing displays all welcome.
Service 05
Computer Mat Cutting
We use a state-of-the-art Gunnar AiOX Hybrid XL computerised mat cutter for all our mount cutting. Want to update the mats in a frame you already own? We can help. We cut single windows, multiple windows, stacked mats, certificate, signature and name mounts, and we run production batches for photographers and artists.
Service 06
Repairs & Re-frames
Whether you need new glass or a fresh mat to match your decor, we repair and re-frame. We also handle frames damaged in removals and provide quotes for insurance purposes.
- Replace broken, cracked or chipped glass, or upgrade to non-reflective, UV-resistant or Perspex.
- Re-mat and re-cut mounts with acid-free, conservation or museum-grade boards.
- Re-hinge or re-mount fallen artwork, replace hangers, wire and cord.
- Replace dated mouldings, re-tape and re-back tired backboards.
- Clean and re-mount frames affected by dust or insects, with an inspection and cleaning service.
Service 07
Plaques & Photo Panels
We add a personal touch with custom-made plaques. Your ideas become a print proof, with text, logos, images and motifs in black or full colour, to complement your framing or as a stand-alone project. We also print high-definition images to ChromaLux HD metal photo panels, and we press name badges in a range of sizes, finishes and clips at affordable prices.
